Red Dead is a serious game for serious gamers

Stranger:Would you like to help me pick some flowers for my wife?
John (me):Would I? Sir, there is nothing I would like more.
John (me):You don't know me, but I am the best flower-picker in whole god damn West.
John (me):I will pick the HELL out of some flowers for you.

30 Days Of Red Dead Redemption12. Favourite Quality in John Marston
Loyalty - to his wife. I think in Rockstar’s games we were used to sleeping with prostitutes, and I naturally assumed when first playing this game that I could do the same with John - whores were everywhere after all. Though I was pleasantly surprised to find that I did not even have this option, that was when I realized that John was different to Rockstar’s past characters; he had depth to him, a real story behind him.

Yeah, a lot of people complain about this, which I don’t really understand—it’s something that makes John far more of a fleshed-out character in his own right rather than just a player proxy, which is part of the reason I love this game.

I killed Billy West at the end of the Flowers for a lady mission. I feel like he and Annabel can finally be together.

I…guess that makes sense? Oh man, now I’m really wishing these two had featured in Undead Nightmare somewhere.

Okay well, the lady in the coffin looks a lot like the bride from “Let No Man Put Asunder,” and the guy with the gun looks like…somebody…and I’m blanking on who. A younger Landon Ricketts, maybe. So I say it’s relevant.

These are two of the characters from the Stranger Mision “Who Are You to Judge?” I wish the unnamed woman had a larger role. She was pretty cool.
