Red Dead Redemption: John Marston’s Death

No matter how many times we watch it, John Marston’s death always makes us sad
My piece comparing Mass Effect 3 to Red Dead Redemption and how their endings were both similar … and wildly different. And why the second one worked.
I haven’t actually read this because spoilers (I’ve barely started the first Mass Effect game), but if you’ve finished both games, I imagine it’s worth a look.
Red Dead Redemption spoilers ahead. If you haven’t played it, I urge you to do so. I can’t stress how incredible and unique this game is.
T______T
Red Dead’s ending was better.
Yeah…and it at least made sense thematically and narratively, with the genre and with this specific storyline. L.A. Noire’s ending kind of came out of nowhere, like they just went “Guys guys we have to finish this thing, quick slap on an ending! Here this is a thing that happens in noir, right? Okay cool shove it out the door!”

…I like how the spoiler warning comes under the spoilery image. (Yeah, I know, Tumblr makes it hard to do anything else. But it’s still kind of funny.)
