Red Dead Redemption again, there’s a lot of potential for photography in Rockstar’s western. As sparse as it’s landscape is, it’s rich in atmosphere and intrigue.

Does anyone ever just hang out around MacFarlane’s Ranch and Hennigan’s Stead around sunrise and just listen to the background music and the birds and see the sunburst light over the Mexican side and just think oh my god this is a video game

mapstalgia:

Red Dead Redemption, Armadillo, by Patrick C.

I remember the first time I came down the mountain from the East on horseback and saw the sprawling desert of New Austin with this town just visible in the distance. I spent so many hours playing this game, gahhhh. This town always had the best feeling of all of them that I was actually rollin’ round in the wild west. Shootouts here kicked ass aha.

I spent way too much time in RDR wandering around trying to earn hunting sidequest cheevos and sort of burnt out on the game before I got significantly into the story, which is a shame because I was actually enjoying it a lot.  It’s been a while, I suppose I should go back to at some point.
