byrdsplace:
Red Dead Redemption is a sprawling epic of a video game, filled with high-octane gunfights, train ambushes, brutal deaths and more plot twists that you can think of. L.A. Noire -or- To Red Dead Redemption What... →
optionalirony:
I got a copy of L.A. Noire last week and have been having a great time with it. I love Noir genre stories (I used to write my own stupid detective stories when I was a kid). For some reason though, I’m enjoying it but I’m not head over heels for this one.

I agree about Jack being a perfect protagonist. I really enjoy his character, despite so many others hating him. I also think that as far as the honor system goes, with Jack the...

fuckyeahreddeadredemption:
Main Character John Marston is an ex-outlaw who just wants his family back. Cole Phelps is ashamed of what he did in World War II and is one of the few straight-laced cops left in 1940s Los Angeles.
Personally, I like Marston a lot more. He seems more like the average person doing what any of us would do faced with our family being taken without our consent in the...

When Red Dead Redemption Clicked
dibsonred:
Last year the critics slobbered over Red Dead Redemption so much you’d think the game was paying them to write their hyperbole-infused reviews: “ Rest assured that this is one of the greatest game we’ve played in 2010 so far, and possibly ever.” Choice quote from metacritic there.

I’m sorry, such haters exist? Please direct them this way so Marston and I can, um, educate them.
